OPENING NIGHT “FILMS AL FRESCO” UNDER THE STARS Arctic Tale is an epic adventure that explores the beautiful icebound world of the Great North. Narrated by Queen Latifah the film is from the producers that brought you “March of the Penguins,” Arctic Tale is the perfect film to open the Napa Sonoma Wine Country Film Festival which has a passion for all things related to Jack London, who spent some serious time in the frozen North. Arctic Tale tells the story of the walrus “Seela” and the polar bear “Nanu,” as they journey from birth to adolescence to maturity and parenthood in the frozen Arctic wilderness. As the planet warms, the Arctic is changing, disrupting the ancient rhythms of life that the walrus and polar bears rely on to survive. Once a perpetual winter wonderland of snow and ice, the walrus and the polar bear are losing their beautiful icebound world as it melts from underneath them. Competition Awards: Feature |
